I am a lifelong resident of Chesterfield, VA, and enjoy gardening, and golfing as well as painting.
My art journey began quite by accident when a friend asked me to join her in an oil painting class at John Tyler Community College. Although I was a complete neophyte, it sparked a creative desire to paint more. My medium of choice is oils, but my paintings are not confined to any one specialty. I love bright, bold colors, and my subject matter includes landscapes, seascapes, animals, flowers, objects and abstract ideas for inspiration. As I learn from each painting, my work continues to evolve.
Painting for me is therapy, happiness, and a feeling of accomplishment. It also provides a temporary escape from the worries of the world.
Simply put, painting makes me happy, and I hope that my paintings will touch the emotions of the viewer in a positive way as well.
